Being smart in one field doesn’t mean they will be smart in any other. Most experts are only specialized in their own field of expertise and have non-expertise level of knowledge in almost any other subject.

Yes, but in the real world very few people are generalists. The most someone can be an expert in is probably 4-5 fields. But the real world has thousands, if not millions of fields unrelated to them. DaVinci was an master of like 5, with art, science, anatomy, innovation, sculpting, and maybe 10 more things. But there are thousands of things he had no clue about.
