What are you talking about? We are literally humanity's last hope. Japan's ascension and standing up to western powers/America was an inspiration to the colonized/exploited colored peoples of the world (there is a good amount of literature on it) and China's ascension in the 21st century right now is just the second chapter to it. China is trying to uplift Africa, various MENA countries, and Latin American countries for a reason.
Those are potential friends with resources both material and social capital-wise. Whereas all America does is lecture other people and occasionally practice economic terrorism or flat out invades other countries. Look at what happened to Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein. Or the splitting of Korea into two sides, China and Taiwan, India and Pakistan, Israel and the middle east, the CIA activities in South America, Vietnam, etc...
