Why do 4chan users try so hard to larp as losers and incels?

I get this feeling that whenever I see some 4chan greentext story about anon getting rejected or spending another weekend alone it's a larp, it just looks so fake. As if they were trying to get sympathy and engagement which is weird because you can't make money off 4chan.
