The tower owner got a massive insurance payout, Isreal got the US to take out an up and coming regional power and US influence in the middle east, The US gained the poppy fields in Afghanistan(you damn well know the CIA was making money off that shit), The Military Industrial complex made a fuck ton of money off of new contracts, the government could implement new draconian laws to suppress and spy on the population(PATRIOT act), and IIRC the part of the pentagon that "got hit" had a department that was looking into corruption in the bush administration.

Overall 9/11 was very beneficial to a select few groups.
