But inceldom and a lack of friends woke me up to be more "aware of my surroundings. I put the phone away.

I only use the phone for emergencies, note-taking, and daily reminders.

But why are they on their phones 24/7 even when walking across the crosswalk on roads? Everyone is doing this and not worried about getting hit. Wtf happened to society?
