Serious Why are we having a hard time believing Elliot Rodger's height?

Seriously, a LOT of threads that mention about ER's height, people say he was 5'7 or 5'6, even though he himself stated he was 5'9.

How can we tell or how are we sure that he is lying? Simply from his videos? Unless it's proven false, his height is 5'9. He said it himself.
