tbh imagine other people around you always hinting at your gf that she could do better and get a taller guy. That doesn't go away just because your gf is with you for the moment. Just like just because a woman agreed to marry you doesn't mean she is going to be faithful to you or have respect for you.

It has to result in a lot of stress and uneasy feelings in some way. Yeah it's better than being a single short guy but all your problems don't go away since you are still physically short and being in a relationship doesn't change that.
