Im in US yes a lot of tgem probably catholic or methodist even preachers came up to me when i was walking on the sidewalk inviting me to their church
idk the US is weird, none of them are really religious but they brand themselves as "catholic" and live by it. told it to another guy, US catholicism isn't worhipping god, but worshipping the church. it's kind of a sect, so of course they try to get you into it. Just like scientology or mlms.

also I wanna point out I'm christian myself, but evangelical (protestant). as is most of the christian world. There's a reason catholicism has been abandoned/reformed almost everywhere. Idk why US americans stick to it so much, but it should be obvious that catholicism doesn't have much to do with christianity anymore. That's why I hate catholics so much and keep saying: catholicism doesn't worship god, they worship the church. It's a mlm pyramid scheme
the people that come up to you are the people at the bottom. they come up to you and want you to join their sect, because they genuinely think they're doing something good. the people at the top are the ones instigating them to do that. at the top is catholic preachers, priests or whatever. at the bottom is regular catholics. somewhere in the middle is actual churchgoers
