Yes. Why make your life needless stressful and complicated than it needs to be? The path of least resistance is universally preferable. This is an expected and natural behavior and is one of the central pillars of the human condition. That is, the pursuit of peace and comfort is the natural state of man.
It's very important that you have come to this realization, as most are blindly oblivious to it. The profundity is in its simplicity. There are no mystical and esoteric secrets and knowledge of a lost civilization and world gone by many thousands of years ago.
