When I was a teencel and I discovered about the deep web thanks to a youtuber called DrossRotzank I was overhyped too thinking it was a shady as fuck place where you could find all sorts of illegal content like hitmen, drugs, fake passports, etc. Of course I was curious so I donwloaded Tor and tried some of the links in hiddenwiki and I couldn't be more disappointed. The majority of the deep web is just boring blog sites about random shit (usually freedom of speech, internet privacy, etc.) or links that don't work anymore. It's also very slow, it takes ages to load websites due to all the encryption and nodes that Tor uses. If you want the bad stuff you really really have to look for it and I don't wanna end up in a watchlist so fuck that, I haven't been to the deep web in ages. Normies think that searching the deep weeb is just putting illegal stuff on google and boom there you have it. If it was so easy all the criminals that use the deep web for crime would be in jail already. Also they say that many of Tor nodes are owned by the FBI and the NSA so it's not as private as you believe.
