Discussion Why are E-Crusaders so obsessed with Vlad?

This tweet praising Vlad over something he didn't achieve has got more than 40k likes. Vlad was an unsuccessful psychopath who impaled his own people in visible places to scare the Ottoman soldiers. He probably killed as many Christians as he did Muslims. If you're going to larp as a modern day crusader on the internet, there are better figures to idolize like John Hunyadi or Skanderbeg. At least they had some success and behaved like actual Christians unlike Vlad. So my question is: Why are some Christians online so obsessed with Vlad? Is it just ignorance?
