In the future technology will be so advanced that it will be able to ressurect all dead people throughout history and thanks to artificial intelligence and vr being as real as it can be. We will be living life on different realms where all people will have enough space to live with whomever they love. All injustices and problems will be solved. People won't be discriminated against for their looks, they can adjust their looks with the press of a bottom. Just like in a video game. Your health will be superior thanks to nano bots. You will be the fullest you could ever be, And you know what the good news is? You will wake up in that world the moment you die. Why? Because time is a construct of the mind. So the moment we die time doesn't apply anymore until our minds are rebuilt in the future thanks to superior technology and AI. Look at pc' hardware every 2nd year it's improving. In about 10-20 years i'm guessing VR will look indistinguishable to real life. I'm already amazed by my crappy oculus pixelated headset.

Virtual reality has made some advances but so far it's still has some ways to go.
10 to 20 years is a good estimate for vr being more viable imo but Moore's law isn't keeping up much longer. I agree that the pc hardware is improving every few years as opposed to every year.

But the event that caused the memory doesn't exist anymore. But the sum of all our memories follow a path which gives us the feeling of time. If you don't experience anything, then you don't get a feeling of time either. I think a better way of saying it is, when you're dead you don't experience. As experience requires a conscious mind. So you're not "aware" of passing events. If someone killed you right now. Then 300,00 years passed and someone reconstructed everything as it was right before you died, you wouldn't know 300,000 years passed because you didn't experience it.
