It has to be this way because that was the point from the very beginning. Those with little to offer convinced self sufficient individuals that everything would be better if all resources were polled together under their discretion. Then they made laws and convinced others to protect them and their newfound power and enforce their will against those who weren’t inclined to coperate with them. The concepts of civilization and society are inherently corrupt and those at the top want to keep it that way. In fact they want more even at the expense of straining the effectiveness of the illusion
