NEET, 27 years old, lost my job due to stress ulcers, lost all my money in the crypto crash earlier this year + paying money on an IRS Installment plan for money made last year + parents fucking hate me

I get $100-200 at MOST from my parents per month, all from doing work for them I have to beg to do. Probably didnt have more than $500 this year to spend after the crash

basically I beg for food and dental care and my parents are EXTREMELY reluctant to help me out or treat me like a human (e.g. my dad chased me around the house yesterday in a threatening way), only getting money from them for chores. we live in the wealthiest county in the USA btw

anyone in a similar situation? if you are NEET above 18 years old, what is your allowance or payment for chores?

i worked in hardware repair for a school system (locks, wheels, computer hardware, scanners)

the ulcers came from basically pushing myself too hard. every day the last 5 months i worked there at least 1-2 employees would tell me to slow the fuck down because they saw i was always giving myself way too much work. I was fixing dozens of things per day.

my parents really only care if they look bad at this point. and if they kicked me out it would look bad. so they arent doing it. thank god for community concern. dont really think theyll formally try to kick me out ever even though they have threatened that before even when I was 19, but its highly possible at least my dad will try to emotionally destroy me or just something really weird.

Taking into account your situation, I think your previous job didn't pay well enough to cover for your medical expenses. Your parents want you dead. Do you have any job on your mind that your willing to do at the moment, that does not furthur escalate you health problem?

In any case, Borrow money from anywhere except from loan sharks, unless you're confident you'll be able to pay them back, the amount borrowed should be large enough to keep you afloat for a few months, till you find a proper job with good, pay and benefits.

Im trying to start a few businesses, working on them for a few hours a day, but it probably wont work out. I really need to work from home, working outside if infeasible for a lot of reasons, transportation being one.


Im already basically ready to go file bankruptcy at any moment. Taking out more credit would only be useful at this point for like a more costly dental procedure or emergency transportation if my parents kicked me out.

Yeah. I have severe sleep apnea that prevents me from working more than part time. My parents hate living with me, so they pay for my room in a houseshare (with a nasty foid) and for my food/expenses. I get $100 a month that I can use at my discretion.
