What are your favorite civilizations?


I’ve played through all the campaigns on moderate but only 70% on hard. Some scenarios are just too difficult.

Mine is magyars and Mongols , my first time play I liked Persians and khmer

I mainly play online , July 2021 I was particularly hardcore I played ranked 1v1 picked my best map and civ

Mongols are just unmoggable. Generally I like all cavalry civs but Mongols are supreme with their unique units.

Yeah they can get out of control once they get their best units out

That’s why they’re also the hardest enemy to play against. They’re just weak in Feudal Age for lack of economic bonus and in late Imperial Age when their gold has run out

They do have higher HP scouts in feudal age, I’d say their big weakness is castle age since they have no eco bonus or any good units

And they’re one of the strongest in lategame imperial age

They lack strong trash units tbh. Best strategy is to destroy your enemies at early Castle/Imperial Age. JFL several loaded siege rams can annihilate the enemy base within minutes.

If I can recall, there's a cheat code you could have entered in the original AoE that gave you a KITT or a Camaro with weapons on it to use to kill the other factions.

Yeah I remember that. I used to use those cheat weapons to win the scenarios that I found too difficult as a newbie lol.

AOE 3 is my favourite because it covers the colonial period(germans and the English were my favourite).I used to play all of the patches when i was a kid and i used spend hours on this game.I still have in mind what every unit said...damn the nostalgia hits like a truck at 200km/hour
