I did well over 5,000 +
Wow you got me beat. I can see why you have mental health problems. I don't care how normal/NT your default brain hardwiring is...getting rejected over 5000 times would drive any man insane.
Did you guys know that 50% of offenders in a UK prison are neuro-divergent?
Apparently this is true:
Prevalence of Neurodiversity in a UK High Secure Psychiatric Hospital Cohort: A Records Study - PubMed
With the survey suggesting that the majority of patients in one high secure psychiatric hospital have at least one form of neurodivergent condition, it raises questions around how useful the term is and what the term neurodivergence means in this population. With each form of neurodiversity...

I can understand why too.
People with autism have a difficult time understanding with things like unwritten/unspoken rules, nebulous concepts, and implicit double standards. It's not even about just not liking them, but they really have trouble understanding them in the first place.
On paper, the UK has freedom of speech, but it's nowhere near as protected as it is in america. There are hate speech laws, but those are nebulous concepts and they're enforced by popular opinion (what is "offensive" anyway?). The UK arrests more people than Russia does for things said online. Often the arrests are for mild criticism of immigration policy.
Most brits seem to actually like this system as they get the benefits of appearing like a free and open society while also getting to punish people for wrongthink. But even most of the brits that don't actively like it don't really care. At least they can have a pint at the ol pub with their mates and talk about how manchester united are a bunch of fookin' wankas, that's free speech enuf innit govna?
This leaves mostly just the neuro-divergent people who don't understand the unwritten rules and unspoken double standards that end up violating them and being punished by the law, all while thinking what they did/said was legal and having no malicious intent behind it.
I think in some ways, certain neuro-divergent people would be better off in an explicitly authoritarian country like North Korea, where it's very explicit about what you can and cannot do, as opposed to an orwellian nightmare state cosplaying as a "liberal democracy".
Thank god I was born in America so I don't have to worry about this bullshit.
