no, though psych wards can be worse depending on where you go since you don't have a set time you are in there for. You could be locked away for life if they really feel like it.
yep I'm thankful I was only in for 1 month and faked getting better so I could escape
brutal. I was in one for 2 weeks before but that one was super chill ngl. They didn't really try to give us therapy though and all we did was eat food and relax it was pretty comfy. I was technically in school at the time so we had "school" but all it was was the teacher doing our homework "with us" aka he did it for us lol. The psych thing I went to for a year was a residential treatment center and THAT one fucking succckkkkeedd. I'm glad my parents pulled me since it was a complete joke that did nothing in the long run.
Last one sounds shit, I feel weird about psych wards like they can be totally shit but then at times I think about being back in one and just being able to escape from all the shit irl and just be comfy I guess. I remember being younger and watching a video someone took of their psych ward/hospital in Sweden or something and they had their own pc setup and everything. Though that’s all highly unlikely to happen in Australia.
I think it really depends on where you go tbh. Some are set up like literal prisons and have hell tier living standards while others are cushy and fuck and relaxing.
