Yes, true. As you probably know this was usually practiced in a religious context, such as with celibate monks, and I would not be surprised if that led to fewer dysgenic traits showing up in those populations. My gripe isn’t that ugly people exist, to your point it is inevitable given the randomness of nature, but that doesn’t mean we should blindly give into our impulses and procreate for the sake of spreading genes. As cucked as it sounds (I’ve been there), you need to understand that this primal instinct is irrational. It’s as if you were to have herpes and on the verge of death, there is some food source in front of you, but everyone must take a bite of said food in order to live. You can either eat the food, or slowly starve, withering away. That thrashing wound (herpes in this analogy) doesn’t just subside, it continues to linger on, and in the long term you have by extension affected a large chunk of the populace.
TLDR: Ugliness will always be and is random, but spreading genetics due to lust or connection (which in most cases is impossible given our dysgenic nature) causes equal/ more pain for generations polluting the gene pool like tumors.
Copes like becoming a monk could be possibly “productive”. Obviously there are many things you can do to distract yourself like hobbies or improving on a talent, etc. Also, no one will care or remember you when you are gone. In the grand scheme of things, “great men” will be forgotten, or vilified, Chads will have no impact on future generations past the seventh generation, and we are a product of an unpredictable sequence of material genetic code. I could go on, but this is kind of getting too long so I’ll stop.
