The way it seems to me is that the discourse around all gaming (and beyond) now in 2025 is very meta.

It's not about the thing itself anymore, it's about the social and political impact that that thing potentially has.

One reason I play Roblox over other games is that at least in its case it's mostly limited to the discourse and it doesn't seem to be affecting the games themselves much.

They're not particularly politicised or compromised in any way as far as I can tell, which is fantastic.

I can still play Moo Moo Mystery in peace, lol
