Photos seem more accurate since they expose you to your asymmetry because you're not used to seeing yourself that way. Other people who are used to seeing your face don't really notice your asymmetry until they see your reflection in the mirror. I don't think facial asymmetry is that noticeable until you see a face in a perspective different from the one in which you're conditioned to seeing that face.

In some way both, mirror is accurate, but reversed, photos are not, but lens distortion fucks up proportions. We like mirror image more because we're get used to see themselves in the mirror, people tend to like familiar things more.
