I’m half iranian living in Italy and in Iran the man that have 2 or more wife are very very low, I think only 0,01% of iranian man are in a polygamous marriage.

Considering that polygamous relationships are very rare, and that both women and men by law must go virgins to marriage (sex outside marriage is forbidden), in that country it is almost as if there was a forced monogamy.


in Iran it works like that, but I do not know if in other Islamic countries polygamous marriages are more frequent than in Iran.
