Where is the meme of Meds (Greeks and Romans) being dark coming from?
These are plenty who could pass as Balkan/Middle Eastern in the South, due to historical genetic influences... 
Though the same amount of Meds that look more Western/Central/Eastern European usually mog the others to hell, owing to their superior phenotypical colouring; one of the many negative effects of living in countries that have a high natural level of diversity in relation with looks.
