From what I've understood it breaks up melanin but it happens slowly. The darker your skin, the longer it takes to see any results. And also it is expensive and you need to keep doing it because our bodies keep producing melanin.. There are also glutathione + vitamin C pills that can bleach your skin but it takes longer. Which is cheaper I have no idea, pills or injections. Either way its a rats race because you have to keep taking them for the rest of your life if you want to keep the paler skin.

it doesn't actually make your skin white, it changes your undertones which gives the illusion it is whiter. But it is good anyways, curries have the grey/yellow undertones even the light curries have it but Whites have red/orange undertones which look much better, that's why when meds tan they have a bronze hue whereas for curries it looks like a muddy hue. you can upgrade your undertones using Glutathione IV, if you want to just lighten your skin then Hydroquinone is one option, Monobenzone works too but it's risky

the lighter the better, no matter whether it's going to stay like that forever or not.
