I'm of English ancestry (+ some unknown Scandinavian ancestry, I'm not sure, if my maternal last name ends with the prefix sen or son).

I know that my mothers side has Peder+something (could be sen or son lol).

I have a feeling it could be Swedish, there were some fleets of Swedes coming into Adelaide. But, my family kind of moved around Australia and New Zealand a lot.
