Yup. I remember this from an r/science post on a longitudal study following some boomers born in 1950s or 1960s, that found that the ugliest sixth of them or so died earlier than the others, and in-between a lot of posts being like "Well, of course, that was just because they were obese, I bet 100% those data weren't corrected for BMI," despite the fact that obesity was barely existant in the US back then, someone pointed out that, for normies, it'ss much easier to talk about lookism in terms of attractive people's advantages, since that puts normies in the "disadvantaged" grouping as well, than it is to talk about ugly people's disadvantages. Normies can't complain about the latter, and it forces them to confront how they themselves are privileged over uglies, which they absolutely don't want.

yes its one of these classic patterns you see with normies. They can never see themselves as evil, every action is good and justified as long as they are the ones doing it. They are stuck in tribalisic victim vs oppressor mindset, and they are always the victim, even if they ganging up as bullies 20 vs 1 against some lonely autist in school. Its amazing to observe. I absolutely fucking loathe normies for painting lonely and autistic nerds as oppressors for carving out a niche in the pop culture for themselves (even though that also has been largely taken over by the normies).
