I'd make a poll but to be honest it's kind of hard to know what the timeframes should be.

I'd say we were the closest... basically between about 1975 and 2015. Before then I think society was more male-focused and now it seems to be more female-focused.

Just the way I see it anyway!

Generally agree with that

equality isnt possible because we are inequal
1950 nuclear american family was best imo

When women were property.

Probably a hot take, but a good argument could be made that it's right now. Lots of Asian and European countries now have homicide rates with women being 20 or even 30% of the victims, which would've been unthinkably high for most of history when murder was a strictly man-on-man thing. The amount of women in prison globally is rising so much and so quickly that the same feminists who always happily argue for gender equality everywhere else are getting nervous about it:feelshaha::

And overall, it just seems that society is very, very slowly starting to actually apply at least similar rules to men and women, with there being at least some idea that you as a man can hit back if a woman strikes you first, or that women actually can and do abuse men; not to mention the idea of women being able to simply cruise through life by parasiting off of a man becoming less possible, if not necessarily less accepted or desired.

I feel like during that period between '75 and 2015... it was like we could have a real back-and-forth between men and women. Women could lay into men AND men could lay into women. Whereas these days it's like... only the former can happen.

Which kind of sucks. And is terrible for the morale and self-esteem of men. Having to basically sit there and get the piss taken out of you and if you say anything back you're sexist and you deserve to be cancelled or fired or something. It's crazy tbh.
