So I was at the restaurant with my family the other day. I didn't really want to, but it was a special occasion so I didn't wanna be that guy.

Anyway at the restaurant we interacted with several people and what I noticed was that none of the people were looking at me, even when I said something.

I feel like a background character. Actually no, scratch that, I'm one of those people in anime they don't even draw faces for because they're so insignificant.

Nobody giving a shit our existence is a brutal pill to swallow. Sure it is peaceful to be invisible. But the implications of being invisible to others hurt so goddamn much, like you said.
