I had a similar situation with a game I used to play. A mindless Match 3/collect every character game, but it was comfy and sufficiently free to play. To keep progressing in the game and get all the good shit, I had to eventually join a guild and join their Discord. It was dead other than stuff about the game, so fine.

Then the game hired a lesbian dyed hair girl to do PR and videos about the game, and she brought in her "friends" to join various guilds. One came to ours and it turned into simp central with everyone bending over backwards for this girl who clearly knew nothing about the game.

I just left without saying a word. Nobody cared. And that will be the last time I play any games requiring Discord/group chats.

I'm already convinced they will butcher VTM Bloodlines 2 to make it accessible to wider audiences. Not only because it has been delayed for several years, but because the 5th edition of the table-top was the most cringe PC thing I have even seen in the genre. They made a walking sim VN like title in same universe and it looks woke as fuck just look at those three freaks, so Bloodlines 2 will most likely be the same.
