Losing the cat sucked for sure, but in the past 3 years, I’ve had much worse losses than the cat. My grandmother died in 2021, the cat died in 2021, and worst of all, my father died just over a month ago. Losing him was absolutely brutal because he was like my best friend in life. We used to take our 1971 Camaro to car shows since 2010, and we had a cabin we maintained together. Also, the fact that I’m only 19 and my father is gone already is so fucking brutal. I still have the car and cabin but it’s not the same without him. That is a loss that hit so hard and definitely will scar me forever. It happened so fucking fast too. We found out he had pancreatic cancer May 20, 2024, and they said he had six months left to live. On May 28th, I found him almost dead slumped over in the chair and the ambulance took him away. He died 2 days later from sepsis and a heart attack in the hospital 5 minutes before I got to see him one last time to say a final goodbye.
