I suppose it's because teachers force you to read and memorize boring books; you end up associating it with homework instead of something that's supposed to be fun.

I did enjoy reading, I think I read like 6 books in one year, which to me was a pretty big accomplishment. This was back when I was in my redpilled days though, I wish I could go back.

I need to start meditating again, this helped out with my attention span a good chunk.

Schools made me read books about some black history or some bs, I didn’t really care for it. It wasn’t until I had that redpilled phase in my life that I actually liked reading. I could get into it again though but I really need to fix my attention span.
