I think Godzilla NES story is one of the greatest video game creepypastas of all. The build-up is so well written, you can feel something is wrong, something is changing, and something is approaching unlike most of the copy-cats or inpos where they have no clue what to do but instantly throw you into the scary part. The sprite work is stellar and the overall atmosphere is perfect kind of claustrophobic. One thing I don't like is the main antagonist, idk he just looks silly but otherwise he's a villain that can feel powerful and threatening, imagine a kaiju that is 20x deadlier than godzilla itself. This is just Sonic.exe but done right.
