I mean seriously... Over 30 and still living with parents and being dependent on them?!?

And even the ones that don't live with their parents are still immature and don't have the maturity past a high school 18 year old.

Generally speaking with a few exceptions.

Meanwhile, I was in my country's compulsory military service from about age 15-18... and already on my own shortly after my parents immigrated the whole family.

And every job I got to, I had to fight an uphill battle to gain respect. To prove I'm hardworking, serious, and don't screw around and do unsafe stupid things.

It doesn't help being Asian and 5'6 either and looking 10 - 15 years younger than my actual age. Because I get initially perceived as a spoiled lazy suburban kid who has short attention span and does stupid things and isn't serious at all!

Takes about 4-6 months to prove my worth... That is even without considering putting up with the stigma of being a manlet and trying to be intimidating to scare away potential bullies.

I dunno who to blame if it's the liberal education system that wants to put everyone in a bubble and bashes down manhood and keep us eternal children... Or is this generation just plain weak?

What happened? I thought 18 year olds have stormed the beaches of Normandy while putting up with machine gun fire and seeing scores of their buddies killed?

What happened to owning your first home at 22-25 and being a young daddy with toddlers?

I don't see the same problem in 3rd world countries. Because most of the time they got compulsory military service so between 16-20 years old you're getting toughened up in a barracks alongside going to highschool and college...

That and learning already to be mature and fend for themselves.

Is there a systematic program to turn everyone into these arrested development people?

Or is it just the effect of technology combined with feminism and overall prosperity of the 1st world nation?

which country are you from? and i think it has something to do with growing up with internet and good lives

You can't buy a home in your mid 20s anymore when wages have been stagnant for 40 years and houses cost 4x as much as they used to

You can't get married to your high school sweetheart when women are convinced that they need to sleep around as much as possible while they're in their 20s

You can't get a good job right out of high school anymore because anything decent requires a degree or connections

Shit's a lot harder than it used to be, that's why millennials are manchildren

Sorry I don't live in a p.o.s country that forces you into the military when you're a teenager:lul:

Yeah. People want to live. Tough concept when it's not you, innit?

Let's see. Educated engineers make around $30k/year (after taxes and insurance payouts). To become one, you have to finish your school at 16 and go to college until 20-21. So, at 21, you're fresh out of college, with at most a year of job experience, and can reasonably hope to make something around $20k/year (after taxes and insurance payouts). You move someplace you can make $30k/year, and in two years, you'll pay off your student loan, luck permitting. So you're 23, you're making $30k/year, and now let's look up house pricing. Yep, $200k and up if you intend to stay where you can actually get a paying job. Assuming you can set aside half of your paycheck and assuming everything goes silky smooth like, you can get that minimal price house in a little over 13 years, or at around 36. That's if you're lucky, mind.
So I suppose that's what happened to owning your first home at 22-25.

being a young daddy with toddlers?
Even if you're attractive and relatively socially competent, it's generally a very bad idea to start having kids if you can't support them. Which involves having a home and some savings.

Yes, and you also don't see thousands of people dying to get that chance. Now try and comprehend every single one of those deaths, would you kindly? Imagine the suffering they've been going through, all the effort they put into it — all to fail, all to have somebody else use their labour while they are slowly decomposing five feet under.
