For me, it happened before I dropped out of college because of my declining mental health. I'd regularly attend the gym to cope. One of the female attendants had taken a picture of me without my knowledge, maligning me for my appearance. I only found out because the picture had been cycled around enough that it had reached me. I never found out who it was. I only found out that it was a girl. I wish I could have known. I would have immediately reported that skank to the dean. I can't even mind my own business without someone mocking me.

I have had many, with all the worse instances happening in the shopping center. Worst I can think of was when a bunch of females squirted water in my ear as I was passing them. There was so much it soaked my shirt and had the water stuck in my ear for the rest of the day. Not a single person around me even blinked an eye or asked me if I was alright.

I was so close to going up to them and sucker punching one of the females in the head. I am thankful I didn't though.

To minimise your risk of instances like this never travel around public spaces by yourself.

But to be honest, the only way to avoid the chance completely would be to never enter into public sight, which isn't realistic. Not to mention you will not always have someone to go with. Best method is understanding how to cope with things like this happening so it doesn't ruin your week.
