Imagine going your whole youth without positive female attention. So you go to school, get an undergraduate degree and then go to medical school and get a medical degree. You do all that stuff and by your mid 30s, early 40s you have your own medical practice. You're making a six figure salary.
But society expects you to get a woman your age (however, it's OK to ignore this rule only if you date older women) or be alone. If you're 40, it is socially inappropriate to go after 20 year olds. But you can feel free to pursue 60 year olds.
