Personally I had a friend in middle/high school that always had the same simp tactic with foids:
-He starts inviting her everywhere and siding with her in any conflicting opinions
-He buys her small things (a hat, a mug, a keyring, etc.) because "he feels like it"
-He watches the same youtubers and shows the foid likes and pretends to enjoy them
-He cancels our plans or ignores friends to meet with said foid
-One day when we are all in school or meeting somewhere else he takes the foid somewhere "far" (far enough so we can't hear him but we all know his intentions) and he just says he likes her.
His tactic obviously has never worked so I dunno why he kept trying. Anyways he was a bipolar dickhead (one day he would be nice, the next he wouldn't talk to you) so I'm happy I don't see him anymore. I just didn't have many "friends" at that time so I had to stick with what I already got.
