He's trying to find a specific gene that humans once had to control the NetSphere. dude's been searching for a fucking long time, like. probably upwards to 50,000 years travels a labyrith that is the size of our solar system and was once stuck in an elevator for 10+ years.
He also has a pistol called a Gravitational Beam that can rip through reinforced space steel and still travel upwards to several hundred kilometers without losing any damage potential or velocity
