Exactly what I came here to say. The best version of this I know of is the night porters at my old university. They would stay up all night reading and watching TV. Very few people came by. Some would even nap. Perfect tbh. Pays like shit in general but at some higher end hotels it’s decent money if full time and probably at the university also given that shitlibs run it.

My current job is doing admin type shit for a government department. Not too bad except working in a dystopian open office environment packed with normies (mostly foids). Interviewing on Friday for a research assistant job at a different department. Would be better money, fewer people and a chance to use research skills (I have a PhD).
