Pro:
- dont make noises
- cheap compared to other animals
- low maintenance
- can be cuddly and affectionate if kept correctly (not all of them, depends on personality)
- its possible to teach them tricks

Cons:

- not optimal for them to be kept in an appartment
- they can loose trust in their owners quickly if not treated well
- can hold a grudge
- can be easily scared
