They certainly exist. r/IncelTears is full of people who say
"I'm a virgin, but at least I don't do [some negative trait they attribute to incels] like an incel!"That is an explicit statement of what incel-in-denial means.
They are incels, but they are clinging for dear life to the bluepill, and some bluepilled belief that they are not incels, I.e. they are somehow better than incels.
