It’s been a while since I pursued a relationship with this “oneitis” and I have not contacted her in over a year. She’s a stranger now but at the time it’s like she was everything to me. In the second half of high school and my freshman college year she was the dream girl for me, for about 2.5 years. She was my prom date and we met like a year and a half before. It was on the year anniversary of the prom date which she blocked me. It seemed almost calculated, even though I’m sure it wasn’t. I think the issue is this person is someone I see almost as a “fictional character” where I’m more interested in observing her life from afar than actually interacting with her. We knew each other during formative years of our lives and it makes me wonder how college years have changed her.
