I still have family, that despite being very distant from one another considers family to be really important on the holidays.

I'm not really a film junky. I guess my favorite films would have to be On the Waterfront and Boys in Pajamas (where a German boy and Jewish boy became friends, lets just say the ending is pretty grim...). What about yourself, Dardycunt?

If its a means to keep your family then I don't see why you shouldn't do it? If you have some bad blood between maybe its best to stray away from them, if not then its unnecessary to do so.

I have not watched either of those films but I'll give them a go since you recommended them to me. Due to my lack of familiarity with said films, I am not entirely sure which films you would like but if you prefer drama, I would recommend Tsotsi by Gavin Hood.
I wish I had a pretentious film slut to cuddle with and be humiliated for my taste in surrealist cinema.

I'm at work over Christmas. Although i'm not going to be doing much. I convinced our manager that 4 days of work is going to take 10 days so i could clean up on overtime. I'm supervising a cleaning and refit of the furnace ready for a campaign on it in January. I'm running some pipe, doing a service on our compressors and installing a new hot water tank in the maintenance toilet block. I've also got a few bits of data cabling and some light switches to replace in the offices and dozen light fittings to replace. I'll be done in 4 days. So I'll have 6 days of chilling while on overtime.
Probably eating slightly less shitty food alone pretty much.
Hogging the switch I bought my nephews and consuming copious quantities of weed, booze, and food.

I work in maintenance. Technically its sort of illegal for me to do electrical work. My manager has one our sparkies test and inspect my work before he signs the job off as finished. He doesn't allow me to work on 3 phase installations. I'm technically employed as a "fitter". I know what i'm doing though. I like working at Christmas. Its quiet. The roads are empty.
