For me it was about 2 years ago. I went on a long scenic drive to a lake about 2 hours away. It had camping, boat rentals, and even a general store and snack bar. Real nice place. Then I realized I was the only one alone. To add insult, when I walked into the store, a woman in front of me just entered the store but completely closed the door in my face even thought I was like 1 step behind her and she clearly saw me.

would love to camp here with friends but have minimal friends and they don’t want to venture outside their narrow box.

After the lake a ventured to the nearby small city which has many cool shops and bars and restaurants. A terrific place to take your gf, or even hang out with friends. Once again I felt so alone.

This was one of the most loneliest days of my life for sure. I think because the places I went to were so fun and beautiful but for me it was a nightmare not having anyone to share it with.
