The best time to date as a sub 5 was probably the 1920s. The war had ended and there were a lot more women than men, and back then much more women wanted to get married as opposed to riding the CC (obvs some women, like the flappers, wanted to ride the CC but they were a small minority unlike today). Standards were more in check too.

Overall tho, looking at more than just dating, nowadays is the best time to be a sub 5 mainly due to technology and NEETbux.
