Women want to do things that is a pattern for them. It is a pattern for women to care about social supremacy/ power more than content. They do not have an intrinsic desire to learn anything. Nor do most humans. But women are always on the lookout for what they're high-scrutiny-searching for.
College is a great place for that.
So using this inference, what do you think is of more priority for them personally? Duh. Socializing.
A lot of the time women know their best role is getting rich off a guy who did go to college. A lot of them have anxiety surrounding socialization structures. Even if humanitarianism allows women to be paid the same these days, they know it's a fluke, and it's not reliable. It's just the common grain for men to be paid more because of underlying prejudice about how women don't care about the work in of itself. They want to keep the men well paid so their skills remain staying. Women know they are their own worst enemies in the work place. This gets pocketed subconsciously.

I think is a mix of both, girls originally go there for education but the social life is just an added bonus because of muh vagina
