What is up with these service dogs?

I dare say there have been an epidemic of service dogs as I've keep seeing them everywhere, it wasn't like this at all awhile ago but now it seems that everyone have them.

From my understanding is that they are there for disabled people with PTSD, diabetes, seizures, etc but was there something that happened that cause them to be all over the place? The other day we had a fire drill and I saw 8 fucking dogs coming out of the building where pets aren't allowed.

The thing is most of these dog owners are female and rarely have I seen a male with them. It's not confirmation bias because at the service animal meet on campus almost all of these dog owners are females.

What the fuck is going on? My theory is that they just pretending to be disabled to bring their dogs with them.

Can't stand seeing able-bodied people with service dogs. It's like the fat people who use the electric scooters in Walmart. It warms my heart seeing public freakout videos where people with "service dogs" get kicked out of public places.
