Title, and why?

Arts degrees

[Insert] studies

The usual.

I have a stem degree. Some stem degrees can be kind of meme'ish.

A standalone degree in physics won't get you much jobs like studying CS, IT, or engineering.

like studying CS
idk if there's an incel who is lost but wants to go to college, I'd recommend this first, second, and third. It's like the anti-meme degree. Even if you discover you want to pursue something else later, just having programming knowledge boosts your CV immensely in practically every field.

tbh, in modern work landscape, it's not really about your degree, regardless of what field you're entering. It's more about demonstrating your value and what you're capable of. Some routes make it easy because they have practicals and work experience built into the qualification e.g. law, medicine, and accounting. Where you do your compulsory internship is probably where your first job will be as well.

For most other careers, it's completely different. If your CV has pretty much any degree and nothing else, you're fucked. Nobody hiring gives too much of a shit about your qualifications on their own. Ideally, you should be doing some part-time work in your desired field while you study to at least get your foot in the door. Some people are lucky enough to have university professors that will tell them this. Others aren't, and they graduate with a fancy degree and 0 work experience and realize how fucked they are when their job applications keep getting rejected.

Somewhat true. However, I don't think it's common for people to get away without having degrees, and unless if they're lucky, have a successful business, went to vocational/trades school, or self-employed. IIRC close to 50% of businesses fail and it's probably more now with how powerful the monopolies have become (competition usually wasn't ever fair for small businesses anyways).

Generally, a good non-meme degree + internship should suffice (like you've mentioned).

Not doing an internship did hurt my future job potential. Back in college again for another degree (physics was a meme major. Probably the most meme'ish stem major).
