What is the IQ of a senior military officer?

I am reading about the Rhodesia bush war. The highest military general is Peter Walls he is the one who organised everything and conducted the entire war.

Obviously anybody with such responsibility is not low IQ so I am wondering what kind of IQ does a senior military officer need? He also attended Sandhurst in UK . Do only senior military personal attend that military college?
