You would be surprised at how most women look when they are not wearing makeup and frauding Instagram pictures with good angles and lighting. Makeup can do A LOT to enhance your appearance; concealing bad skin and pores (acne etc), concealing dark circles under the eyes, enhancing the eyebrows and eyelashes, making certain facial bones like the zygomatic arch, maxilla and perhaps jaw look more prominent, adding a glow to the skin just to name a few.

Although makeup is mostly geared towards women and is considered feminine and it will stay that way as it comes from an evolutionary reason in human psychology and anatomy from our hunter gatherer days like everything in gender roles, and thus cannot be socially engineered. Let's just say that hypothetically it was somehow 'normalised' for males, along with other forms of looksmaxxing that women partake in like fashion, high heels etc. What would change?

I know women are naturally hypergamous and so would still go for mates above themselves in the looks/status departments, and males will still date down due to our higher sex drives amoung other things. But I'm assuming you would at least even the playing field a little bit?

I find trouble in this viewpoint because it implies that looks is a never ending scale. There is an objective ideal and a range which falls below it. There can be nothing greater than a perfect ten, if every man looked like a perfect ten, women wouldn't care which one they got. Now I'm not saying that makeup will turn every man into a perfect looking male model, but you can't use that logic to go up a heirarchy indefinitely.

I don't believe it's all genetics, there is undeniable evidence that the modern lifestyle can screw up facial development. I mean look at fat people, something incels obsess over here, about how they wouldn't touch a fat woman with a ten foot barge pole.

Most males were destined to never mate, I've made a thread before where I included that as a point, with ample scientific evidence to back it up. But that's due to womens naturally high standards through human evolutionary history. Regardless of that fact, most men would look far better if they had ideal development which the modern lifestyle prevents.

Over 80% of women compared to 40% of men have contributed their genetics to the modern gene pool. Which means that across evolutionary time, double the amount of women got to mate than men. Most men were shushed over to the sidelines. This does however, mean that only the top 40% of male DNA was passed on. The average man genetically mogs the average women, because women are biologically far more picky.

Most men would look much better, if it weren't for the modern lifestyle, maybe not good enough for foids, but still better.

Regardless of the reason for shitty jaw protrusion, it’s something makeup could never hide. Most male facial problems come from lack of bone protrusion, something makeup can’t fix. Makeup can however fix common female problems like shitty eye area and lack of a youthful glow.

Ngl the only time I’ve ever worn any sort of makeup was because I had to for lighting when I did my school play years ago (back before I became depressed and realized that it was over)
