I’m not short but 5’10 is literally in the 67-73rd percentile for male height in the US. While an inch shorter (5’9) is in the 50th percentile and two inches shorter than 5’9 (5’7) is in the 25th percentile. 5’10 is literally the cut off point. I can understand why you wouldn’t agree with 5’9 but 5’11 being point before short implies you think 5’11 is average.
