For one, you might end up with a culture where users need to post selfies to be accepted by the community (e.g., you need to be deemed ugly enough) and you'd get endless flame wars on who's too comely to be deemed a truecel.

I also really don't see any potential upsides to allowing it. There are already plenty of like fora where posting selfies is allowed.
